About Ellen Zangla

Ellen Zangla, M.Photog., CPP, APAI, specializes in outdoor pet portraits as well as action dog photography. Giving back to the community is a guiding principle of her business; she has been partnering with other pet-related businesses in her market to hold photo fundraisers since 2015. At her first fundraiser, she photographed more than 100 dogs, raising $1,600 in six hours for local animal rescue. Since that time, she has photographed more than 3,000 pets (mostly dogs, but also cats, lizards, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even a snake), raising more than $90,000 for animals in need. In 2019, she published “Tails of Loudoun County,” with photos and stories of more than 200 pets in her county. The book generated $30,000 for local animal welfare groups and earned her a commendation from the State of Virginia. Ellen also was featured on television and in local newspapers due to her success with “Tails.”
